Senior Network Engineer

Experience: 4-7 Years

Location: Dehradun

Responsibilities:

1.     Oversee all network activities at the data centre and disaster recovery sites, including installations, upgrades, migrations, incidents, performance tuning, reporting, and patching.

2.     Manage configuration changes of switches/routers and perform periodic backup of configurations.

3.     Work on Leaf & Spine Architecture in Data Centre.

4.     Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, Private VLANS, VTP, STP, DTP, Trunking, Stacking, Ethernet channel, DOT1Q, ISL, SVI).

5.     Configure IPSEC tunnels between locations.

6.     Configure and troubleshoot Layer 3 protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Static Routing, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Floating Static Routing, Failover).

7.     Provide support for IPv4, IPv6, NTP, ACLs, Route-map, Prefix-Lists, PBR, AAA, TACAS, RADIUS, CEF, IPv6 CEF, SLA, TRACK, SNMP, EEM, Syslog, Flow-export, RADIO, EVPN-VXLAN.

8.     Configure and troubleshoot Network Load Balancers.

9.     Manage core switching and routing upgrades & maintenance in the data centre.

10. Implement router access control management.

11. Conduct fault management of routers and switches.

12. Take corrective actions to resolve faults and ensure high network uptime.

13. Troubleshoot and debug network problems.

14. Deploy monitoring tools for identifying problem areas and perform early rectifications.

15. Conduct periodic fine-tuning to ensure optimal network availability.

16. Regularly check for proper functioning of network and deployed assets.

17. Be well-versed with EMS tools, App expert of network and security products.

18. Handle incident, change, and configuration management, including IOS upgrades and change request management.

19.  Collaborate with the disaster recovery team to address network issues at the DR site.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Strong knowledge of Switching, Routing, network equipment, firewalls and IPS.
2. Experience with monitoring tools (Cisco IOS and Junos).
3. Familiarity with data centre networks.
4. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 1,2, 3 protocols.
5. Expertise in network technologies such as AAA and EVPN-VXLAN.
6. Experience with network load balancers.
7. Knowledge of core switching and routing upgrades and maintenance.
8. Excellent fault management and troubleshooting skills.
9. Familiarity with incident, change, and configuration management processes.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
