Technical Project Director – Datacenter IT Operations and Managed Services Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Director to lead Datacenter IT Operations and Managed Services , ensuring continuous availability, high reliability, operational efficiency, and security of critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess L4-level expertise in Server & Infrastructure domains and will be responsible for managing end-to-end datacenter operations , optimizing workflows, ensuring compliance, and driving automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Datacenter Operations & Infrastructure Management: Oversee daily operations of server, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms , ensuring high availability (UPTIME), high reliability (MTBF), optimal performance (TPS, IOPS), and robust security (MTTD & MTTR) . Incident & Problem Management: Lead advanced troubleshooting , applying L4-level expertise to diagnose and resolve complex server and infrastructure issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring rapid recovery. Change & Configuration Management: Implement ITIL best practices for seamless change execution while ensuring highly secure and efficient infrastructure configurations , including hypervisor tuning, OS patching, and firmware updates . Capacity & Resource Planning: Manage server provisioning, workload balancing, and resource optimization , leveraging performance analytics and predictive scaling methodologies . Compliance & Risk Management: Enforce Datacenter Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , covering: Server & Infrastructure Hardening Access Control & Security Compliance Disaster Recovery Readiness Preventive Maintenance for Critical IT Systems Automation & Process Optimization: Utilize AIOps , scripting, and orchestration platforms to automate server deployments, infrastructure monitoring, and security patching . Vendor & SLA Management: Negotiate and manage vendor relationships for hardware maintenance, cloud resources, and infrastructure support , ensuring contractual obligations are met. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track infrastructure health KPIs , leveraging ITOM tools to generate actionable insights for efficiency improvements and cost optimization . Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field . Experience: Minimum 14-18 years in Datacenter Operations , with strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) . Technical Expertise: L4-level proficiency in Server, Storage & Infrastructure domains , including L2- Level proficiency in networking, and security technologies . Deep knowledge of enterprise-grade servers, hypervisors, hybrid cloud architectures, and infrastructure automation . IT Operations Management Tools: Hands-on experience with ManageEngine, ServiceNow, BMC, Freshworks, SolarWinds , or equivalent ITOM solutions . Communication & Leadership: Strong decision-making, stakeholder management, and operational leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Multi-Tenant Datacenter Operations , serving diverse customers ( Government/PSUs, Enterprises, SMBs, Priority and Internal teams ). Expertise in Datacenter Workflow Automation , leveraging scripting, APIs, and AIOps platforms . Strategic understanding of IT Infrastructure Cost Optimization .
