We’re now expanding our engineering team and are on the lookout for a Senior Mobile Developer with deep expertise in Android & Flutter development and proven experience in POS/payment gateway integration.

Position Summary

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will design, build, and optimize mobile applications that power business-critical solutions. You’ll lead POS system development and integrate secure, scalable payment solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role is pivotal in shaping Alekya Tech Solutions’ mobile-first strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile apps for Android & Flutter.
• Lead development of POS functionalities – inventory, orders, customers, and reporting.
• Integrate and manage payment gateways & APIs ensuring compliance (PCI DSS, etc.).
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure app scalability.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Stay ahead of mobile tech trends, especially Android, Flutter, and POS/payment solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mobile app development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on native Android (Java/Kotlin) development.
• 2-3 years of proven Flutter/Dart experience with cross-platform apps.
• Strong background in POS system development and integration with POS hardware.
• Solid track record of payment gateway integration (Stripe, Square, PayPal, etc.).
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and third-party libraries.
• Proficiency with Git and mobile app lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on with POS hardware (printers, scanners, card readers).
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, offline-first design, and data sync.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance standards.
• Exposure to backend technologies (PHP, Node.js, Python) & databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of app store submission processes (Google Play).
