As a seasoned Senior Merchandiser with extensive experience in buying houses, you will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients, production, and design teams to deliver high-quality jewelry products. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Client Relationship Management:** - Build and maintain strong relationships with buying house representatives and international clients. - Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear understanding and execution of requirements. - **Product Development & Merchandising:** - Collaborate with design and production teams to create jewelry collections aligned with client preferences and market trends. - Oversee product sampling, approvals, and final production to meet quality and delivery expectations. - **Market Research & Strategy:** - Conduct thorough market research to grasp global trends, client demands, and competitive landscapes. - Develop and execute strategies to target potential clients and expand the business. - **Order Management:** - Handle the end-to-end order lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final delivery. - Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding order status, pricing, and timelines. - **Business Development:** - Identify and pursue new business opportunities through buying houses and direct clients. - Create proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies to attract and retain clients. - **Coordination & Problem Solving:** - Collaborate with internal departments like design, production, quality control, and logistics for smooth operations. - Proactively address and resolve any client concerns or product/delivery issues. - **Performance Monitoring & Reporting:** - Monitor key performance metrics such as sales targets, delivery timelines, and client satisfaction. - Provide regular updates and insights to management on business performance and opportunities. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion, or related fields (Masters preferred). - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in merchandising, particularly in buying houses within the jewelry industry. - Proven track record in managing international clients and driving revenue growth. **Skills & Competencies:** - Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing and global market trends. - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. - Proficiency in CRM tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Willingness to travel as required.
