Company Description Galaxy Garments Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a 30-year-old garment manufacturing company specializing in denim and non-denim apparel production . With cutting-edge infrastructure, including our recently expanded facility, we serve leading Indian and international fashion brands. We are now in a phase of scaling operations and looking for a seasoned IE Manager to lead efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement across our production lines. Role Description The IE Manager will be responsible for maximizing factory efficiency, capacity utilization, and line balancing . This role involves creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking performance metrics, conducting time and motion studies , and introducing Lean Manufacturing practices to achieve world-class production standards. We’re looking for someone with deep technical knowledge of garment manufacturing , especially large-scale multi-line plants , who can mentor a growing IE team and align production strategy with our aggressive growth plans. Key Responsibilities: Design line layouts, method studies , and accurate SMV/SAM calculations to support planning and costing. Optimize production using Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Kanban) and time & motion studies to identify and reduce non-value-added activities. Lead continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and streamline style changeovers. Build SOPs and train supervisors, line leaders, and operators on best practices. Collaborate with planning, merchandising, and IT teams to digitize IE reporting and integrate with ERP systems. Drive measurable improvements in line efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery . Requirements: Education Bachelor’s in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or related field. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar preferred. Experience 8–12 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with 5+ years in leadership . Proven track record in high-volume, multi-line plants . Denim and woven garment expertise preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of method study, SMV calculations, and capacity planning . Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and root cause analysis tools . Comfortable with ERP systems, production tracking, and IE software (e.g., GSD, SewEasy ). Soft Skills Excellent leadership and team-building abilities .
