Industrial Engineering Manager

Role Overview: Galaxy Garments Industries Pvt. Ltd., a leading garment manufacturing company specializing in denim and non-denim apparel production, is seeking an experienced IE Manager to enhance efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement across production lines. As the IE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing factory efficiency, capacity utilization, and line balancing. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing standard operating procedures, tracking performance metrics, conducting time and motion studies, and introducing Lean Manufacturing practices to achieve world-class production standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design line layouts, method studies, and accurate SMV/SAM calculations to support planning and costing. - Optimize production using Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Kanban) and time & motion studies to identify and reduce non-value-added activities. - Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and streamline style changeovers. - Build SOPs and provide training on best practices to supervisors, line leaders, and operators. - Collaborate with planning, merchandising, and IT teams to digitize IE reporting and integrate with ERP systems. - Drive measurable improvements in line efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelors in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar are preferred. - Experience: 8-12 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Proven track record in high-volume, multi-line plants. Denim and woven garment expertise is preferred. - Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of method study, SMV calculations, and capacity planning. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and root cause analysis tools. Familiarity with ERP systems, production tracking, and IE software (e.g., GSD, SewEasy). - Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
