Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and motivated Senior Linux Engineer to manage and support our Linux infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux systems administration, cloud platforms (particularly AWS), configuration management using Ansible, and robust troubleshooting skills for both virtual machines and physical servers. This role also involves implementing and maintaining patching solutions for hybrid infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Linux servers in on-premises data centers and AWS cloud environments.

Design, implement, and manage infrastructure automation using Ansible.

Develop and manage patching strategies and solutions across hybrid environments.

Perform regular system updates, security patches, and performance tuning.

Troubleshoot system and VM issues, providing root cause analysis and permanent resolutions.

Collaborate with cloud, networking, and application teams to support business requirements.

Ensure system security and compliance with internal and external standards.

Document system configurations, procedures, and change management records.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer.

Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.

Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation.

Experience designing and managing patching solutions for on-prem and cloud environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills across physical and virtual environments.

Knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications such as RHCE, AWS SysOps, or AWS Solutions Architect are a plus.
