Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives in our woven and denim garment manufacturing facility. The role requires strong expertise in work study, SMV setting, line balancing, and Lean manufacturing, with hands-on shop floor leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Productivity & Line Efficiency

Conduct time & motion studies and establish accurate SMVs for woven and denim styles

Perform line balancing and improve efficiency to optimize manpower and machine utilization

Monitor daily production performance and recommend corrective actions

  • Woven & Denim Process Optimization

Analyze and improve processes such as cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, and packing

Address challenges related to heavy fabrics, multiple operations, and complex constructions

Support style engineering and pilot runs before bulk production

  • Planning & Cost Control

Support capacity planning and manpower planning

Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to reduce idle time and rework

Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or compliance

  • Lean & Continuous Improvement

Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and waste elimination initiatives

Improve factory layout, material flow, and workstation ergonomics

Support implementation of automation and productivity tools where applicable

  • Training & Leadership

Train and mentor IE officers, supervisors, and line leaders

Develop and maintain SOPs and best practice standards

Promote a continuous improvement culture on the shop floor

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with production, planning, quality, maintenance, and merchandising teams

Support quality improvement by addressing process-related defects

Participate in internal and external audits as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12 years of experience in woven and denim garment manufacturing
  • Strong hands-on experience in work study, SMV, and line balancing
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production analysis tools
  • Experience in export-oriented factories preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
