About the Role:

We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Senior Industrial Designer to lead end-to-end product design initiatives, from concept to production. This role requires a strong command of design thinking, user-centered design, and aesthetic sensibility, coupled with a practical understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.

As a key member of the R&D and product development team, you will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and prototyping teams to deliver functional, manufacturable, and visually compelling designs across domains like consumer electronics, defense, aerospace, energy, and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end industrial design process, from ideation and concept development to final product execution.
• Create compelling design concepts, sketches, 3D models, and renderings to communicate design intent.
• Translate user needs and market requirements into innovative product solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, DFM/DFA, and cost optimization.
• Conduct user research, ergonomics studies, and usability testing to guide design decisions.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques to meet performance and aesthetic goals.
• Guide junior designers, providing mentorship and maintaining high design standards.
• Prepare presentations, mood boards, and storyboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to branding and visual identity through product language and form development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in industrial design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product development.
• Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, and Alias or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and form development.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, mock-ups, and collaborating with engineering/manufacturing teams.
• Strong grasp of materials, CMF (Color, Material, Finish), and fabrication techniques (injection molding, sheet metal, 3D printing, etc.).
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, consumer electronics, or energy sectors.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles for integrated hardware-software products.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in design and materials.
• Experience working in global design teams or with international stakeholders.
