Senior Finance Executive

Role Overview

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing financial operations related to travel business, including supplier payments, client invoicing, reconciliation, cost control, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Accounts & Financial Operations

● Handle accounts payable and receivable for travel services

● Process supplier invoices (hotels, transporters, DMC partners, airlines, vendors)

● Prepare and issue client invoices as per confirmed bookings

● Ensure timely follow-up for payments and collections

Reconciliation & Reporting

● Perform booking-wise and client-wise reconciliations

● Reconcile supplier statements, bank statements, and credit cards

● Track advances, deposits, refunds, and credit notes

● Prepare monthly MIS, revenue, and cost reports

Cost Control & Margin Management

● Monitor tour costs vs. quoted budgets

● Identify discrepancies in costing, margins, or invoicing

● Coordinate with operations and quotation teams for margin validation

Compliance & Documentation

● Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, VAT (as applicable), and statutory requirements

● Maintain proper financial documentation and audit records

● Support internal and external audits

Coordination & Support

● Coordinate with operations, booking, and sales teams for financial clarifications

● Assist management with financial analysis and forecasting

● Handle travel-related refunds, cancellations, and claims

Skills & Competencies

● Strong understanding of travel industry accounting

● Knowledge of DMC operations, FIT & group travel costing

● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

● Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

● Good communication and coordination skills

● Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Qualifications & Experience

● Graduate / Post-Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting

● 3–7+ years experience in finance/accounts (Travel or DMC experience preferred)

● Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

● Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software (Tally / ERP)

● Good verbal and written English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
