Position Overview:

Senior Fashion Designer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Trend Analysis:

• Research and analyze global fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market demands for UK and US markets.
• Conceptualize and develop seasonal collections for Menswear and Womenswear.

1. Product Development:

• Translate design ideas into technical specifications and oversee sampling to ensure quality and design accuracy.
• Should have the proficiency for prints development
• Ensure alignment with brand aesthetics and market requirements.

1. Collaboration and Team Leadership:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and sourcing, to deliver innovative designs.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring the maintenance of high design standards.

1. Sourcing and Material Development:

• Leverage sourcing expertise to identify and introduce new materials, techniques, and sustainable practices.
• Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers for high-quality fabric and trims.

1. Software Proficiency:

• Use

  Adobe Illustrator

  and

  Photoshop

  for sketches, patterns, and presentations.
• Clo 3D is an added advantage
• Prepare mood boards, trend reports, and storyboards to support design concepts.

1. Project Management:

• Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of designs and samples.
• Collaborate with buyers to meet their specifications and exceed expectations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from

  NIFT

  ,

  Pearl Academy

  , or an equivalent institute.
• 6-7 years of professional experience in the export/buying industry, with a strong portfolio of Menswear and Womenswear designs.
• Proficiency in

  Adobe Illustrator

  and

  Photoshop

  is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and US fashion markets.
• Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Proven expertise in trend forecasting, ideation, and design execution.
• Experience in sourcing and understanding of sustainable practices is a plus.
