Role Summary

Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Manpower Management

  • Manage end-to-end

    contract manpower planning, deployment, and productivity monitoring

    in coordination with contractors and line departments.
  • Ensure adherence to

    statutory compliances

    under CLRA, Factories Act, and other applicable labour laws.
  • Monitor

    attendance, overtime, and headcount

    to optimize workforce cost and utilization.
  • Conduct regular audits of contractor records and liaise with agencies to ensure legal compliance.

2. Contract Manpower Recruitment & Hiring

  • Drive

    contract manpower recruitment

    through local sourcing and tie-ups with ITI institutes and skill development centers.
  • Conduct

    recruitment

    to onboard skilled operators, technicians, apprentices and staff.
  • Create and maintain a healthy pipeline of skilled talent for plant requirements.

3. Apprenticeship (NAPS/NATS) Management

  • Handle end-to-end process of

    apprentice hiring, registration, and compliance

    under NAPS/NATS schemes.
  • Liaise with government departments, agencies, and training partners for program implementation.
  • Monitor apprentice performance, certification, and absorption opportunities within the plant.

4. HRBP Responsibilities

  • Act as an

    HR Business Partner

    for the factory workforce, supporting people-related processes and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage

    employee relations

    , grievance handling, and disciplinary actions in coordination with the Plant HR Head.
  • Drive

    employee engagement, welfare, and communication programs

    for plant and contract staff.
  • Partner with line managers to enhance workforce motivation, retention, and productivity.

5. Administration & Facilities Management

  • Oversee

    administrative operations

    such as housekeeping, canteen, security, transport, and overall facility upkeep.
  • Manage vendor contracts and service-level agreements for admin functions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory norms in collaboration with EHS teams.
  • Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvement across admin activities.

6. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain all HR and statutory records (muster rolls, wage registers, compliance checklists).
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Support internal and statutory audits (PF, ESIC, CLRA, Factory Inspector visits, etc.).

Education Qualification Required

  • MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
  • 610 years of HR & Admin experience in a

    manufacturing plant environment
