Job Description

Skillset profile for a Senior Engineer (PEB – Pre-Engineered Buildings)

Technical Skills

  • Design & Engineering of PEB Structures
  • Strong knowledge of steel structural design (primary, secondary members, bracings, sheeting).
  • Familiarity with IS codes (IS 800, IS 801, IS 875, IS 1893, IS 2062, IS 456) and international codes (AISC, MBMA, AWS, AISI).
  • Knowledge of Load analysis – dead, live, wind, seismic, crane loads.
  • Connection design (bolted & welded).
  • Foundation design coordination with the civil team.
  • Fabrication & Erection
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication processes (cutting, welding, drilling, galvanizing, painting).
  • Erection methodology for PEB frames, roofing systems, wall cladding, mezzanine floors.
  • Familiarity with cranes, lifting tools, safety methods during erection.
  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Reviewing GFC drawings, shop drawings, and erection drawings.
  • Coordination with design consultants, Government officials, detailing teams, and fabrication shops.
  • Scheduling and monitoring with Primavera / MS Project.
  • Vendor management and subcontractor coordination.
  • Materials & Quality Control
  • Knowledge of structural steel grades (IS 2062, ASTM).
  • Inspection of welds, bolts, and fabrication tolerances.
  • Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT) for weld quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.
  • Software Skills
  • AutoCAD (drafting & review).
  • STAAD.Pro / Tekla Structures / SAP2000 for structural analysis & detailing review.
  • MS Excel & reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of surveying equipment (Auto Level, Total Station, DGPS).

Management & Soft Skills

  • Leadership: Supervising site engineers, foremen, and erection teams.
  • Coordination: Interfacing with architects, consultants, clients, and suppliers.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing design–execution mismatches on site.
  • Reporting: Preparing DPRs, quality reports, billing & documentation.
  • Negotiation: Handling contractors, vendors, and clients on timelines and variations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices for steel erection.
  • Implementation of safety protocols (work at height, lifting safety, PPE compliance).
  • Fire safety & structural safety checks for PEBs.

Experience Expectations

  • 8–10 years of experience in the PEB industry.

BE Civil / BTech Civil / Diploma In Civil Engineering Minimum

  • Hands-on experience in industrial sheds, warehouses, logistics parks, and factory buildings.
  • End-to-end execution experience from design review to final erection & handover.

Present Project Site Location

Ratwad-Mangaon, District Raigad, Maharashtra

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
