Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Design & Development: Lead the design and development of embedded IoT hardware, focusing on low-power operation, e-metering solutions, and efficient PCB layouts.
- PCB & BOM Management: Create and validate PCB designs, schematics, and BOMs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and cost optimization.
- Embedded C Programming: Collaborate with firmware engineers to validate Embedded C applications on custom hardware platforms.
- Wireless Communication: Implement and optimize LoRa, Bluetooth, and other wireless protocols for reliable data transmission.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous hardware testing, debugging, and performance analysis to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
- Exploratory Data Analysis: Analyze data from IoT devices to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize energy consumption, and enhance product features.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware, software, and product teams, to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation for design specifications, test protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Prototyping & Production Support: Support prototyping, pilot runs, and large-scale production, troubleshooting hardware issues, and suggesting design improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, preferably in IoT or smart metering domains.
- Strong expertise in Embedded C, low-power design, and e-metering hardware.
- Proficient in PCB design, schematic capture, and BOM management.
- Hands-on experience with wireless communication protocols (LoRa, Bluetooth).
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power management, and embedded system constraints.
- Experience in exploratory data analysis to drive hardware optimizations.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
