Role Summary
Senior leader responsible for the strategy and day-to-day delivery of clinical trial imaging operations across multiple studies and programs. Oversees imaging operations staff (imaging specialists, project coordinators, and study systems team), drives process excellence, and ensures compliance with global regulations and internal quality standards from award and start-up through conduct and close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, optimize, and enforce imaging operations processes, training, oversight, and performance management across the portfolio.
- Build and evolve org structure; attract, mentor, and develop high-performing supervisors and staff.
- Establish and maintain robust study-level procedures; verify training effectiveness and adherence.
- Provide close operational oversight with clear escalation paths and timely issue resolution.
- Partner with technical/IT teams to develop, validate, and maintain study-support systems and tools.
- Coordinate seamlessly with adjacent functions (project management, data, quality, medical, finance) to align priorities, resources, and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, accreditations, GCP/ICH guidance, and internal QMS.
- Collaborate with Finance/Executive teams on forecasting, revenue recognition, and cost control for operational line items.
- Represent Operations in client meetings, audits, and inspections; deliver accurate status and performance reporting.
- Perform other leadership duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree (Business, Healthcare Management, or Life Sciences) or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in clinical research operations with substantial leadership responsibility (12+ years preferred for VP).
- 6+ years directly in clinical imaging operations within CRO/sponsor settings (10+ years preferred for VP).

- Proven people leader: coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
- Expert in study start-up, conduct, and close-out for imaging-enabled trials.
- Strong cross-functional program management and prioritization skills.
- Quality-driven, detail-oriented, and deadline-reliable; comfortable under pressure.
- High integrity with strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficient with office productivity suites and clinical/imaging study systems.
