Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains to support rapid development and deployment cycles.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Monitor, analyse, and improve the performance, scalability, and security of systems.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure that builds and releases are delivered seamlessly and reliably.
- Promote a DevOps culture through knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and advocating for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
- Maintain and improve observability tools, including monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks).
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and company standards across all cloud and on-premises systems.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and optimise cost, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in architectural reviews, contribute to technology roadmaps, and provide input on system design decisions.
Qualification and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Deep understanding of networking, system administration, Linux internals, and security best practices.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills
- Certifications in AWS/Azure or DevOps-related technologies.
- Experience with serverless architectures, service meshes (e.g., Istio), or GitOps practices.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS.
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
