Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, integrity, and security while supporting development and operational teams with database-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
Perform regular backups and recovery operations using RMAN or other tools.
Manage database security, user access, and roles.
Implement and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., Oracle RAC, Data Guard).
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or other tools.
Support development teams with SQL query optimization and schema design.
Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Oracle 12c/19c or later versions.
Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Understanding of database security and auditing practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
Experience with cloud-based Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
Exposure to other database platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
