As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions that empower business intelligence and analytics across multiple domains. You will work with large-scale relational and non-relational data sources, building robust data pipelines, ETL workflows, and APIs to deliver accurate, reliable, and actionable insights. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, software, and hardware engineering, to ensure data governance, security, and performance standards are met. You will leverage modern BI tools and cloud platforms to develop interactive dashboards, automate data processing, and enhance reporting capabilities. The position offers a chance to shape data strategy, implement best practices, and influence decision-making across the organization while working in a supportive and innovative environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and reporting applications to ensure efficient data service delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data governance, security, and compliance requirements
- Manage and maintain SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database administration tasks
- Work with cloud platforms such as BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric for scalable data storage, processing, and analytics
- Develop APIs and processes to integrate diverse data sources, including flat files, Excel, JSON, and external APIs
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Sisense and Power BI
- Document data implementations, configurations, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility
- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance data architecture and solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and database query optimization
- 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages
- Strong skills in system analysis, relational data modeling, and data integration
- Experience with ETL processes, data pipeline development, and data migration strategies
- Familiarity with BI tools like Sisense, Power BI, or equivalent platforms
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and work independently
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Experience with non-relational data sources, including flat files, Excel, JSON, and APIs, is preferred
- Experience working with manufacturing or operational data is a plus
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and modern data processing frameworks (BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric) is advantageous
