📍 Department:

🔹 Job Summary

passionate and experienced Senior Behavioural Counsellor


🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Counselling & Intervention

  • Conduct

    individual and group counselling sessions

    for students across all grades.
  • Assess and implement

    Behavioural Intervention Plans (BIPs)

    in collaboration with teachers, parents, and relevant staff.
  • Provide

    crisis intervention and conflict resolution

    support following SOP and child protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and staff to

    identify students at risk

    .
  • Coordinate with families, mental health professionals, and NGOs for external referrals when needed.
  • Lead case reviews for

    complex or high-risk cases

    , ensuring

    confidentiality and ethical standards

    .

2. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for students, staff, and parents on

    mental health, emotional well-being, stress management, and child safety

    .
  • Advise school staff on behavioural support strategies and best practices.
  • Stay updated on

    child and adolescent psychology, trauma-informed care, and NEP 2020 guidelines

    .

3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain

    detailed, confidential records

    of counselling sessions, interventions, and student progress.
  • Prepare reports for school leadership on behavioural trends and programme effectiveness.
  • Follow all

    legal and ethical guidelines

    , including mandatory reporting under POCSO and the school’s SOPs.


🔹 Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
  • Valid counselling certification or license.
  • Minimum

    5 years’ experience

    in school counselling or psychology.
  • Hands-on experience with

    ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and other behavioural or emotional challenges

    .
  • Knowledge of

    child protection frameworks and legal compliance requirements

    .
