SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) - Java and SeleniumBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Strong programming skills in Java.Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools, specifically Selenium with Java bindings.Solid understanding of software testing principles, concepts, and methodologies.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) processes.Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand software requirements and design testable features.Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and test scripts using Java and Selenium.Execute and analyze automated and manual tests, identifying and documenting defects and issues using appropriate bug tracking systems.Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on design and implementation aspects to ensure high-quality software.Utilize Java development skills to contribute to the enhancement of test automation frameworks and tools.Continuously monitor and improve test coverage, effectiveness, and efficiency by adopting industry best practices and innovative testing techniques.Perform performance and scalability testing using Java and Selenium to ensure software reliability and stability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance (QA) analysts and stakeholders, to define and implement test strategies and ensure successful product releases.Contribute to the development and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, particularly in Java and Selenium, and evaluate their applicability to the organization's testing processes.Participate in agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, by attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.Actively contribute to the improvement of the software development process, specifically for Java applications, by identifying areas for enhancement and proposing solutions.Qualifications
