Job Description – Senior Consultant / Lead – Digital Workplace, Cloud & Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Professional with 10–12 years of progressive experience across Digital Workplace, Cloud, and Infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical depth, architectural acumen, and leadership maturity to drive large-scale workplace modernization initiatives, cloud transformations, and enterprise technology optimization programs. This role requires proven capability in leading cross-functional engineering teams, engaging with executive stakeholders, and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Microsoft ecosystem solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Workplace Transformation

• Lead end-to-end strategy, architecture, and implementation of Modern Workplace solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Endpoint Management, and collaboration platforms.
• Drive modernization programs spanning user experience, identity, device lifecycle, and secure productivity enablement.
• Oversee large-scale application assessments, packaging (MSIX), migrations, and persona-based workspace design.

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

• Architect and deliver cloud-first solutions leveraging Azure IaaS, PaaS, identity, security, and automation frameworks.
• Lead multi-region cloud deployments, datacenter migrations, backup/storage modernization, and infrastructure standardization programs.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through rightsizing, licensing rationalization, Azure Reservations, and workload rearchitecting.

Technology Leadership & Governance

• Act as a strategic advisor to CxOs, IT Directors, Enterprise Architects, and business leaders in shaping long-term technology roadmaps.
• Build a high-performance engineering organization with strong focus on automation, reliability, governance, and operational excellence.
• Establish delivery frameworks, technical standards, best practices, and compliance controls for cloud and workplace platforms.

Program & Vendor Management

• Lead global, multi-country technology implementation programs with distributed teams.
• Govern vendor partnerships, licensing engagements, escalations, and cost negotiations.
• Drive contractual governance, renewal cycles, and partner ecosystem alignment (e.g., Microsoft).

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

• Collaborate with sales and account teams to conceptualize solutions, build proposals, and participate in client presentations.
• Develop business cases and technical design documents, including HLDs, LLDs, operational runbooks, and architectural blueprints.

Security & Compliance

• Design regulated environments—including PHI/PII-compliant workloads—integrating Zero Trust principles.
• Define and enforce security and administrative policies across cloud and digital workplace solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Modern Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop, Identity & Access Management, and Security & Compliance workloads.
• Strong experience in cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, application packaging, endpoint management, and automation.
• Proficiency in developing architecture frameworks, cloud policies, governance models, and operational standards.

Leadership & Delivery Experience

• 10–12 years of experience leading Digital Workplace and Cloud Infrastructure initiatives for mid-to-large scale enterprises.
• Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams, managing multi-country rollouts, and orchestrating cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience working with CXOs, global IT leaders, and business owners.

Consulting & Strategic Skills

• Ability to convert business challenges into robust, scalable technology solutions.
• Experience in pre-sales engineering, portfolio expansion, business case development, and innovation-led solutioning.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and executive presentation skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
