Senior Business Analyst - Retail IT (POS & Supply Chain)

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Electronic Retail Industry, specifically in Point of Sale (POS) systems, supply chain processes, and application integration. This role will serve as a critical bridge between business users, technology teams, and external vendors, ensuring successful project delivery and system performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain knowledge, process mapping skills, and end-to-end project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Process Design:

Work closely with stakeholders in retail stores, warehouse, supply chain, finance, and e-commerce to gather and document business requirements.

Analyse and document current-state and future-state business processes for retail operations, inventory flow, and customer service.

Define functional and non-functional requirements for new system implementations or enhancements.

POS Application Expertise:

Drive implementation, upgrade, and support of POS applications (e.g., Wondersoft, Ginesys, Oracle Xstore, etc.).

Understand and define workflows for in-store sales, returns, payments, loyalty programs, and discounting logic.

Monitor and validate daily POS-to-backend data flow (e.g., sales posting to ERP, payment reconciliation).

Supply Chain & Inventory Flow:

Support implementation and enhancement of supply chain systems including inventory planning, inter-store transfers, procurement, and warehouse movements.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve demand forecasting, fulfillment, and stock accuracy across channels.

Application Integration & Data Flow:

Coordinate and oversee system integrations across ERP (SAP), POS, CRM, e-commerce platforms, and WMS.

Create interface specifications, monitor data consistency, and coordinate with technical teams for interface fixes.

Support API/IDOC/XML-based integration flows and business validation of interface outputs.

Project & Vendor Management:

Lead and track end-to-end IT projects from scoping to go-live, using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Coordinate with external software vendors and implementation partners for project delivery, SLAs, and quality.

Prepare project plans, RAID logs, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

Testing & Training:

Define UAT scenarios, coordinate business testing, and manage sign-offs.

Conduct end-user training and prepare user manuals and SOPs.

Track and resolve post-go-live issues in collaboration with support teams.
