In this role, you will lead the development of intelligent test automation frameworks, integrating cutting-edge AI technologies to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient testing of mobile applications and hardware-in-the-loop systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality across the release chain and contribute to the evolution of testing excellence.
What You Will Do
AI-Powered Test Automation for Mobile Applications
- Develop AI-driven automation solutions to validate Android and iOS mobile apps using intelligent test strategies.
- Implement machine learning models for smart test case generation, failure clustering, and test suite optimization.
- Use computer vision (e.g., OpenCV) and OCR to verify UI elements, gesture recognition, and layout accuracy.
- Apply reinforcement learning or search-based algorithms for autonomous exploratory and fuzz testing.
- Build ML-based prioritization systems that analyze crash data, user flows, and historical failures.
On-Premise Infrastructure Development for Scalable Test Execution
- Design and deploy scalable on-premise infrastructure to support parallel, high-throughput mobile app testing.
- Set up and maintain physical device labs with USB hubs, controlled power cycling, and automated device management.
- Integrate emulator/simulator orchestration into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems for device state, job scheduling, and infrastructure health.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and teardown of test environments using infrastructure-as-code principles.
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing Architecture
- Build a HIL test framework integrating real mobile hardware and sensors with automated software testing workflows.
- Develop interfaces for controlling physical hardware via USB, Bluetooth, GPIO, or serial protocols during tests.
- Synchronize physical input/output with software test states using time-aligned signal processing and automation logic.
- Train AI models on proprietary hardware interfaces.
- Use containerized services and edge computing for reliable and scalable HIL orchestration.
AI and Open-Source Tooling Integration
- Utilize open-source AI/ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face for model development.
- Extend existing test frameworks like Appium or Espresso with custom AI-assisted components.
- Develop Python-based tooling to manage model training, inference, and integration into test workflows.
- Containerize models and automation agents with Docker and orchestrate workloads via Kubernetes when applicable.
- Build continuous learning loops from test data pipelines to retrain AI models for improved prediction accuracy.
Experience
What you bring
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in automation and AI-driven testing of mobile applications (Android and iOS).
- Strong background in building intelligent test automation frameworks using tools like Appium, Selenium, and Python.
- Proficiency in AI/ML technologies and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with CI/CD environments and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with hardware integration and HIL testing methodologies.
