Senior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank statements, accruals, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Review and improve internal accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on financial matters and provide insights to leadership.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks,Zoho, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
