Senior Accountant (Tally & MARG Expert)

Job Title: Senior Accountant - Tally & Marg GST Expert (with Product Management Skills)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a deep understanding of Tally ERP and Marg GST Invoicing software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and expertly managing product-related transactions within these software platforms. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to contribute to the efficient flow of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting & Reporting:
• Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Tally ERP, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and finalize financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• GST & Taxation Management:
• Proficiently handle all GST-related transactions, invoicing, and compliance using Marg GST Invoicing software.
• Prepare and file accurate monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
• Ensure timely and accurate calculation and payment of all applicable taxes (TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
• Stay updated with the latest GST laws and tax regulations and ensure company compliance.
• Address any GST-related queries or discrepancies.
• Product Management within Software:
• Manage product masters, including creation, modification, and maintenance of product details (SKUs, descriptions, pricing, UOMs, HSN/SAC codes) within both Tally and Marg software.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including tracking stock levels, managing stock transfers, and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
• Process sales and purchase orders, ensuring accurate product quantities and pricing.
• Generate various product-related reports (stock summary, sales analysis by product, purchase analysis by product) for management review.
• Coordinate with the sales, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth product flow and accurate inventory records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in product data or inventory records.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and data integrity.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and procedures for greater efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a significant focus on Tally ERP and Marg GST Invoicing software.
• Demonstrable expert-level proficiency in Tally ERP (all modules), including advanced features and reporting.
• Demonstrable expert-level proficiency in Marg GST Invoicing software, including product management, invoicing, and GST compliance features.
• Proven ability to manage product data and inventory within accounting software.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (IND AS/IGAAP) and GST regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
