Senior Accountant - Real Estate

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 8+ years of experience in accounting and compliance, preferably within the real estate industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, and supporting overall financial planning to drive the company’s growth. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP). Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including income tax, GST/VAT, TDS, and other local regulations. Manage the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies. Track project-wise revenue, cost allocations, and profitability for real estate developments. Maintain accurate financial records for multiple projects/properties across different entities or SPVs. Assist in financial due diligence and reporting for acquisitions, sales, or lease transactions. Develop and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Stay up to date on changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to the real estate sector. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and financial compliance. Experience in the real estate or construction industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks. Proficiency in accounting software . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
