Core duties and responsibilitiesFinancial record-keeping: Documenting all financial transactions and organizing financial records. Financial reporting: Preparing and presenting financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Tax and compliance: Calculating taxes, preparing and filing tax returns, and ensuring the company complies with all financial regulations and accounting standards. Auditing and analysis: Conducting internal and external audits, analyzing financial data to identify trends or variances, and reviewing financial documents for discrepancies. Budgeting and forecasting: Creating and monitoring budgets, performing financial forecasts, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and profit enhancement. Reconciliation: Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and studying account information and reconciling statements each month.
