Looking for a financial professional who manages a company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. They analyze financial data, prepare financial statements, and oversee daily accounting processes. They also play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis, while also ensuring tax compliance. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. General Ledger Management: Managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, managing cash flow and ensuring timely payments and collections. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement, providing insights for strategic decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts. Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax filings. Audit Coordination: Coordinating audits and liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy. Process Improvement: Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Team Leadership: In some cases, senior accountants may also supervise and mentor junior accountants. Required Skills: Strong Accounting Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Financial Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights. Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accurate in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information effectively to various stakeholders. Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial situations and develop effective solutions.
