Responsibilities

  • Optimize site architecture, speed, structured data, and internal linking to improve crawlability and indexing for Shopify e-commerce sites
  • Manage redirects, canonical tags, and technical site audits to maintain SEO health and avoid ranking issues
  • Work closely with developers to implement SEO best practices for site changes and new features
  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-value opportunities for content creation and optimization
  • Develop and execute a content SEO roadmap including on-page optimization, blog strategy, and landing page improvements
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are applied to all digital content
  • Create and manage white-hat link-building campaigns to improve domain authority and rankings
  • Identify partnership opportunities, guest posting, and digital PR tactics to acquire quality backlinks
  • Use tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog to monitor performance and identify issues
  • Track and report on SEO KPIs such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and revenue impact
  • Translate SEO data into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on potential revenue impact and ROI, focusing on activities that drive measurable growth
  • Align SEO strategies with broader business and marketing goals to support overall eCommerce performance
  • Partner with developers, marketers, and product teams to ensure technical and content SEO efforts are integrated into the brand’s digital strategy
  • Stay updated on SEO algorithm changes, tools, and best practices to keep the brand ahead of the curve


Requirements

  • Strong track record with both technical SEO (site speed, structured data, indexing, redirects) and content SEO (keyword research, content planning, link-building strategies)
  • Hands-on with tools like GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc
  • Ability to analyze traffic data, report on ROI, and prioritize initiatives that move revenue


Bonus requirements

  • Experience coordinating with developers for Shopify theme edits.
  • Familiarity with CRO and analytics dashboards.
  • Basic knowledge of email/SMS lifecycle marketing.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3–5+ years of proven SEO experience at a Shopify e-commerce brand doing $2M+ in annual revenue
  • Proven experience with GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
