What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable, responsive web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Own end-to-end implementation of features—from requirement understanding and technical design to development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to translate Figma/UX designs and business requirements into clean, modular, reusable UI components.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs / microservices, define contracts, and ensure smooth data flows.
• Drive performance, accessibility, and usability improvements across the frontend stack (bundle size, load time, responsiveness, Lighthouse scores, etc.).
• Contribute to and improve our frontend architecture, component libraries, and design systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor SDE-1s/junior engineers, share best practices, and help raise the overall bar for frontend engineering.
• Bring a product mindset—think about UX, edge cases, and long-term maintainability, not just “getting it to work.”
  

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience as a frontend engineer, preferably in product-based or high-growth tech environments.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js (or a similar framework like Vue/Angular with willingness to work in React).
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals:
• HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox/Grid
• Browser behavior, DOM, events, storage, cookies
• Responsive and cross-browser development
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; understanding of JSON, authentication flows, and error handling on the frontend.
• Good grasp of state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar).
• Experience with frontend build tools and workflows (Webpack/Vite, npm/yarn, ESLint, Prettier, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex UI/UX problems and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment with high ownership.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems and component libraries (Material UI, Chakra UI, Ant Design, or custom).
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (code-splitting, lazy loading, memoization, caching).
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).
• Exposure to security and privacy best practices on the frontend.
• Familiarity with SSR/SSG (Next.js) is a plus.
• Interest in sustainability, climate-tech, or green finance.
