Scrum Master

Role Description

Ability to manage 3+ teams as a Scrum Master taking on various roles based on the maturity level of the Agile team. Clearly the success of any Agile team is based on effective partnership of scrum master and the team members (of all levels), collaborating and embracing Agile principles having a natural servant leader and coach mindset. You will identify needs, remove impediments, and contribute as necessary to ensure the performance and success of the team. The position requires a leader accountable for maximizing the business value produced by the team, including throughput and delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading multiple global cross functional teams (3+) on various projects using Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban and SAFe)
• Helping the product owner and development team to achieve business value by adopting Agile practices
• Agile Mentor with expertise on the Agile methodology providing insights and suggestions on ways of working, processes that would expedite the squad performance maintaining sustainability in team metrics and promoting continuous improvement.
• Tactically identifying impediments and blockers, track and help remove them accordingly.
• Help the teams to accomplish Sprint Goals and PI OKRs by following ceremonies and planning/estimation of epics in Agile tools
• Adept at collaborating with the Program and Product Management and setting up SMART goals that the teams would achieve in a PI/Sprint.
• Exercise empathy and resolve conflicts and issues that occur and help the Agile team achieve higher levels of Agile maturity.
• Support the product owner and provide education where needed especially in Product Backlog health, Dependency Management to better Manage releases.
• Effectively Manage and facilitate cross-functional team ceremonies to support development and product releases.
• Ability to identify pain points for Agile teams and bring fresh practical ideas.
• Clear and strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Self- motivated, Demonstrates and lives the AGILE COE objectives by coaching leaders and fellow scrum masters in lean agile practice
• Partner and collaborate with team stakeholders, vendors and dependent teams
• Fosters a community mindset and partners with other scrum master’s to share best practices by contributing to Aigle CoE and coaching team
• Eagerness to blend into the organization culture through open mindedness and continuous learning mindset
• Embracing a diverse culture to partner with global team members and foster an inclusive environment
• Exhibits a goal driven aptitude to take on stretch goals and contribute towards firmwide Agile Transformation initiatives

Qualifications

Primary:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
• Safe Agilist certification would be preferred
• 7+ years of experience of leading information technology projects
• 2+ years in leading large scale transformation programs, involving business process and change, organization change, and multiple large – scale technology components
• 4+ years delivering large scale IT solutions leveraging Agile or Scaled Agile framework (SAFe)

Secondary:

• Experience in Agile techniques such as User stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration & Agile Games etc.
• Safe Agilist certification would be preferred
• Experience in coaching Product Owner in Product Backlog Health and prioritization
• Very strong understanding of the SDLC

Tertiary:

• Ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
• Excellent verbal, written and verbal communication skills
• Pays attention to team needs and pivots his/her approaches accordingly to support the squad deliverable business value
