The core activities of team include design, development, purification, conjugation and testing of antibodies in a variety of immunoassay applications using groundbreaking tools and technologies. The goal of the program is product development and creation of product specific information to promote research use.RoleTo be a member of the antibody engineering group focusing on recombinant antibody development.Responsibilities:
- Perform in a fast- paced environment towards engineered & testing
- Informal leadership of team of scientists in matrix style operation, provide technical and operational supervision. Mentoring and training junior scientists in research, design and experimental execution, interpreting data and data presentation to collaborators and partners.
- Drive conceptualization within teams to enable development of successful protocols for effective transfer to operation teams.
- Provide inputs and mentorship towards driving innovation and cross collaboration.
- Partner with supporting functions such as product management, program management, operations, and business development to meet program goals.
Candidate Requirement:
Education & Experience levels:Candidates need a Master's plus 2-8 years experience or a PhD plus 1-3 years experience in life sciences, focusing on protein design, purification, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.Nature of experience:
- Knowledge of antibody or protein engineering, rational design of mutants, molecular biology, and structure function studies. Experience with structural biology and protein modeling and visualization tools such as Pymol, Shrodinger, Discovery Studio or other such programs is a plus
- Experience and knowledge working with proteins such as purification and application testing in immunoassays such as Western Blotting, Flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry
- Experience with molecular biology, cloning, sequence analysis
- Familiarity or experience in development of conjugation chemistries or performing antibody conjugation
- Project or work experience in support of relevant skills such as publications, project reports or thesis work
- Experienced with MS Office applications like Word, Excel and a strong statistical knowledge of statistical software such as Prism.
