Job Purpose:
The Area Incharge - Electrical supervises routine electrical maintenance and technical troubleshooting. They coordinate with operations, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
- Key Responsibilities of Role
Oversee 66KV GIS Operations
- Manage and maintain 66KV GIS systems for reliable high-voltage distribution. Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
Manage HT Distribution
- Supervise high-tension (HT) electrical networks, ensuring efficient distribution and minimal downtime with proactive maintenance.
Supervise LT Distribution
- Oversee low-tension (LT) distribution systems, ensuring safe and effective operation of LT equipment.
Routine Electrical Maintenance
- Supervise routine electrical maintenance to ensure continuous power supply and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize disruptions. Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix problems effectively.
Coordination With Operations
- Work closely with the operations team to meet electrical needs and ensure smooth integration of systems. Provide support during equipment installation and upgrades.
Documentation And Record Keeping
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders and inspection reports, for audits and regulatory compliance.
Safety And Compliance
- Implement safety protocols and PPE. Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors for specialized services and equipment. Evaluate performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality service at competitive prices.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance electrical system performance and maintenance processes, reducing costs and increasing productivity.
Team Development
- Foster a respectful work environment, lead effective teams, and support their professional growth.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory, with specialization in power systems or electrical drives being preferred. Post-graduate qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field can be advantageous for advanced roles and research-oriented responsibilities.
Work Experience (Range Of Years)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and operations within a large-scale industrial setup is essential. Specific expertise in solar power plant electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, and high-voltage equipment, is crucial.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex electrical issues and implementing corrective actions is required.
