Role Overview - 7 to 9 Yrs of relevant experience

SAP BI/BW Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  data models, extractors, transformations, ADSOs, and CompositeProviders

  in SAP BW/BW4HANA.
• Develop and optimize

  ETL processes, process chains, and data flows

  for efficient data loading and reporting.
• Work on

  SAP HANA modeling

  (calculation views, attribute views, analytical views) and integration with BW.
• Build, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using

  SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Analysis for Office, Design Studio/Lumira)

  and

  other BI tools

  (Power BI/QlikView optional).
• Perform

  requirement gathering, functional/technical design, development, testing, and deployment

  of BI solutions.
• Support

  BW on HANA/BW4HANA migration projects

  , including conversion of legacy objects and optimization for HANA.
• Collaborate with business users and functional consultants to understand reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in

  data loads, queries, performance tuning, and reporting

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  best practices, documentation standards, transports, and change management procedures

  .
• Provide

  production support (AMS)

  – monitoring, incident resolution, SLA adherence, and enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 - 9 years

  of hands-on experience in

  SAP BW (7.x and/or BW/4HANA)

  .
• Strong experience in

  BW data modeling

  (InfoObjects, DSOs/ADSOs, InfoCubes, CompositeProviders, Open ODS views).
• Good expertise in

  ETL/data extraction

  from SAP and non-SAP sources (SD, MM, FI, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with

  SAP HANA modeling

  (calculation views, SQL scripting).
• Good understanding of

  SAP BusinessObjects tools

  (Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office, Design Studio/Lumira).
• Proficiency in

  ABAP for BW routines, enhancements, and performance tuning

  .
• Experience with

  process chains, monitoring, and data reconciliation

  .
• Familiarity with

  Agile/ASAP methodologies

  .
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with global teams in onsite-offshore model.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with

  SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  or Datasphere.
• Knowledge of

  authorizations and security concepts

  in SAP BW.
• Exposure to

  Power BI or QlikView

  for integrated reporting scenarios.
• Domain experience in

  retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries
