Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and goal-oriented Team Leader to manage a sales team dealing in mutual funds, SIPs, equity, and insurance products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring compliance, mentoring advisors/relationship managers, and delivering a superior client experience. This role combines leadership, sales strategy execution, and client relationship management within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of sales executives/advisors focused on selling mutual funds, SIPs, equity, and insurance products.
  • Drive sales targets and ensure achievement of individual and team revenue goals.
  • Coach, train, and motivate team members on product knowledge, client handling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, track KPIs, and provide actionable feedback to enhance productivity.
  • Guide the team in identifying potential clients, handling objections, and closing sales.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including SEBI, IRDAI, and AMFI guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent follow-ups and personalized service.
  • Work closely with product and operations teams to resolve client issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor competition and market trends to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Generate and share daily/weekly/monthly reports on team performance, sales pipeline, and conversions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field; MBA/PGDM is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial product sales, with at least 1–2 years in a team-leading role.
  • Strong knowledge of mutual funds, SIPs, equity markets, and life/general insurance products.
  • AMFI certification and IRDAI license preferred.
  • Strong sales orientation with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as NISM (Series V-A for Mutual Funds), IRDAI (Insurance), or CFP.
  • Experience with wealth management platforms or fintech tools.
  • Exposure to HNI client servicing and upselling/cross-selling financial products.
