Job Overview:

The Head of Digital Marketing for the Sales Team is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising digital marketing strategies that drive sales and lead generation. You will lead a team of digital marketers, manage campaigns across various digital platforms, and collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure seamless alignment between marketing initiatives and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Marketing Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to support sales objectives, focusing on lead generation, conversion, and customer retention.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of campaigns across paid media, SEO, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing.
  • Sales Funnel Optimisation:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the sales pipeline.
  • Continuously optimize the sales funnel by analyzing campaign performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion:
  • Focus on creating digital campaigns that attract high-quality leads.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that leads generated through digital marketing efforts are being effectively nurtured and converted.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals, setting clear goals, KPIs, and expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between marketing and sales teams to achieve common goals.
  • Provide regular performance reviews, training, and professional development opportunities for the team.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of digital marketing campaigns using analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital marketing effectiveness, including lead volume, quality, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on data insights and feedback from the sales team.
  • Budget Management:
  • Manage the digital marketing budget and allocate resources effectively across channels.
  • Ensure that marketing spend is optimise to achieve the highest return on investment (ROI).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product, sales, and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed to support digital marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on sales-driven campaigns.
  • Proven track record of generating leads and increasing sales through digital marketing channels.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams and understanding their needs.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEMrush, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.) to track and report campaign performance.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams across the organisation.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute detailed plans and drive results.
  • Analytical Skills:
