Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented
Sales Manager / Education Consultant
to drive sales and strengthen our presence in the school education market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting our curriculum-based school books and digital learning solutions, building strong relationships with schools, educators, and institutional buyers, and ensuring consistent revenue growth in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach new schools, educational institutions, and key decision-makers (Principals, HODs, Directors) to promote the company’s books and offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and repeat business.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as assigned by the management.
- Conduct product presentations, book exhibitions, and teacher orientation workshops in schools.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors’ products, pricing, and strategies and report to the management.
- Coordinate with internal departments (editorial, logistics, customer support) to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales pipeline, and follow-ups through CRM or daily reports.
- Participate in education fairs, conferences, and promotional campaigns as a representative of the company.
- Provide feedback to the product development team for improving or developing new educational content as per market needs.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (preferably in Education, Marketing, or Business Administration).
- 1–5 years of proven sales experience in school books publishing, EdTech, or educational services.
- Freshers may also apply.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and discuss curriculum structures (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards).
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working with schools, book distributors, or educational consultants.
- Familiarity with NEP 2020 guidelines and current trends in school education.
- Existing school network in the assigned territory.
