Job Description

Key Responsibilities

· Responsibility for Sales and lead generation and fulfilment of budgeted targets.

· Responsible for preparation of sales budget and monitoring of the targets.

· Reporting order received / lost to management.

· Perform technical discussions with clients and end customers, presentations and preparation of proposals in order to increase value preposition of the offering.

· Be involved in all stages in the sales pipeline, from the initial enquiry, budgetary quotations, costing and final contract negotiation with the clients.

· Responsible for local contract management – Letter of Credits, follow-up on drawing approvals from Class/3rd party, freight insurance & payments deliverables, SAT’s & handover of the equipment to owners, closure of warranty claims etc.,

· Cross – Selling different products and solutions as a package to ship owners and shipyards thereby increasing the profitability of the company and enhance the value for end customer.

· Responsible for co-ordination and deputation of Service Engineer’s for Installation, Erection and Commissioning of equipment’s at the shipyards, terminals and ports in the region.

· Responsible for CR//M for key accounts – shipyard, ship-owner, ports, Navy, Coast Guards.

· Implementation of the action plan for the year and work on the feedback from clients to enhance the relationship and trust.

· Represent the company in important conferences, seminars and professional gathering of maritime industry.

· Keeping tab on developments in the Maritime and allied industry, suggesting service offering improvements to help enable get more business.

Tendering Responsibilities: -

· Identifying and scrutinize tender documents, drawings and specifications and identify key points.

· Review of tender documents, scope of works, determining eligibility, contractual terms and conditions, preparing presentations and obtaining approval for bidding from top management.

· Coordinating the completion of tender documentation by liaising with a wide range of roles within the organization and external stake holders such as OEM, Legal, Accounts, Sales, Banks, Suppliers and top Management.

· Getting through the contract terms and conditions, liquidity damages, performance guarantee, milestone, bank guarantee requirements, payment terms and special conditions, taxes and duties.

· Ensuring that all documents are accurate, up to date, signed (if required) and provided in a timely manner.

· Building and maintaining company tender documentation library.

· Establish and manage a library of legal documents, translations, case studies, technical requirements and bid responses.

· Preparing of technical & commercial bids as per the tender requirements.

· Work well under pressure to meet tender submission deadlines, address timely changes and produce value engineering solutions if required.

· Arranging and conducting TNC / CNC meetings with key stakeholders.

· Handling the Presales activities.

Essential:

  • 6+ years of experience in maritime industry mainly in Sales and Tendering
  • Highly preferred candidate with prior experience has 2nd Engineer or 3rd Engineer from shipping industry or merchant Navy
  • Prior experience of working with multinational company preferably with- Diesel Electric Propulsion System, Electrical Integration, Automation.
  • Bachelor of Engineering [Electronic, Electrical, Marine, Mechanical].
  • Excellent knowledge of computers & ERP/CRM is essential.
  • Fluent spoken/written English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, set priorities, work independently, and perform under pressure.
  • Knowledge of all government tender websites like e-proc, GEM etc.
  • Knowledge of the legal aspects of the tender process.

Work Environment:

· Office and field work (customer visits, yards, management co’s, owners, designers, consultants, Navy & Coast Guards)

· Regular Training at our OEM Principals in Europe–product related & equipment specific.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
