Job Description

As a proven Sales leader with hands-on experience in managing direct to consumer consultative sale teams, you are sought after for a challenging role in a fast-paced market environment. You have a track record of effectively leading Sales Managers and Inside Sales executives, ideally with a minimum team size of 30 members. Your expertise lies in handling high ticket size products that require nurturing while creating a sense of urgency for quick decision-making among consumers. Additionally, you have excelled in competitive sales environments, consistently ranking in the top 10 percentile of your team. Your data-driven approach has enabled you to build and scale up sales processes effectively. Your primary responsibilities in this role include: - Leading a team of 10-15 Admissions Counsellors and 1-2 TLs. - Providing strategic leadership to achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment, revenue, and collection targets. - Managing the complete sales closing life cycle for leads, including phone calls, product demonstrations, sales closing, and post-sales relationship management. - Monitoring the Sales Pipeline and ensuring the quality of the Sales funnel. - Overseeing training provided to Admissions Counsellors on learner profiling, program knowledge, and sales closure techniques. - Managing and nurturing sales talent to control team attrition. - Establishing performance standards using key metrics and monitoring overall team performance against set goals. - Demonstrating the uniqueness and effectiveness of upGrad's model of online learning. We are looking for individuals who possess: - Outstanding English communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills. - 3+ years of sales experience in B2C, preferably in education sales. - Experience in handling Inside Sales teams is advantageous. - Solution-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving skills. - Excellent people orientation and the ability to bond with internal and external stakeholders. - Strong empathy, patience, and a sales-oriented mindset to effectively communicate upGrad's offerings to prospective learners. - Passion for delivering high levels of customer service. - Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is preferable.
