Job Title: Sales Head (Pan India)


Department: Sales & Business Development

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Type: Full Time


Job Summary / Overview


  • To lead and drive the overall sales strategy, business growth, and customer engagement for valve products across India. The Sales Head will be responsible for building a strong sales organization, expanding market share, and achieving revenue and profitability targets through strategic planning, customer relationship management, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Pan-India operations aligned with company goals.
  • Define annual sales targets, regional objectives, and business development plans.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure achievement of revenue, margin, and market expansion goals.


  1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify new business opportunities across valves industries.
  • Build strategic partnerships with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and key end users.
  • Support product positioning and penetration in emerging markets and segments.


  1. Key Account Management


  • Strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, channel partners, and decision-makers.
  • Oversee major bids, techno-commercial negotiations, and order closures.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and service support coordination.


  1. Team Management & Leadership


  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers across multiple zones.
  • Set clear performance goals, review progress, and drive accountability within the sales organization.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.


  1. Market Intelligence & Strategy Execution


  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer requirements to guide product development and pricing strategy.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Application Engineering teams to develop sales tools, product presentations, and marketing campaigns.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.


  1. Reporting & Coordination


  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports with forecast analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Production, Service, and Finance teams for smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide insights to management for business planning and decision-making.


Qualifications & Experience:


Education: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.


Experience:


  • Minimum 15–20 years in sales and business development in a leadership role within the Industrial Valves / Flow Control / Process Equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of valve types (Ball, Gate, Globe, Check, Butterfly, Control, Safety Valves & Trunnion mounted Ball valves) and their industrial applications.
