Sales Head

A Head of Sales job description includes developing and executing sales strategies, managing and motivating the sales team, and setting sales targets. • Strategy and planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales goals and grow market share. This includes creating sales forecasts and pricing strategies.
• Team management: Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed performance targets. This can also include recruiting and training new employees.
• Client relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Prospect for new business and manage client accounts.
• Performance and analysis: Monitor sales performance against key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure sales strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate sales reports and present progress to senior management.
• Brand representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Qualifications and skills

• Proven experience in a senior sales role, often with a minimum of 5+ years in a related field.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Deep understanding of sales and marketing techniques, as well as current market trends.
• Ability to analyze data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
