Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Key Customer Relationship & Account Management

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with the companys major customers (currently 3–4 strategic accounts).
  • Ensure consistent order flow and proactive follow-ups on forecast, schedules, and delivery planning.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all customer interactions – commercial, technical, and service-related.
  • Manage customer complaints or issues promptly, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
  • Regularly visit customer sites to understand expectations, quality feedback, and new opportunities.

2. Sales Planning & Forecasting

  • Gather customer forecasts and communicate them effectively to the production and planning teams for capacity management.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales plans in alignment with company targets and available production capacity.
  • Track sales performance against targets and take corrective action when necessary.

3. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with the Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure delivery timelines and product quality meet client expectations.
  • Participate in internal production planning meetings to align customer delivery schedules.
  • Ensure customer commitments are honoured through internal alignment and accountability.

4. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify new market opportunities through structured market research in targeted industries (construction, automotive, fabrication, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Develop entry strategies for new markets and segments.
  • Expand international business with existing clients by exploring group-wide opportunities or new geographies.
  • Build an understanding of competitor offerings, pricing, and customer trends to strengthen market positioning.

5. Strategic & Managerial Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s annual sales plan aligned with management objectives.
  • Review sales performance regularly with management through structured MIS and review cadence.
  • Build and develop a sales team over time — defining roles, setting goals, mentoring, and creating accountability mechanisms.

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for a young, dynamic leader with excellent Sales strategy and experience working in the forging industry. The candidate should be able to handle and lead a Sales Team to drive the forecasted sales revenue for the organisation.
