Job Description

As a PLC, Instrumentation and control panels Sales / Marketing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Instrumentation and control panels, and associated automation solutions. Your role involves collaborating closely with clients to grasp their automation needs and offer customized solutions that optimize their operations. In this position, you will need a combination of technical expertise in PLCs and robust sales skills to effectively articulate the value of the products and services provided by the company. - Identify and cultivate new business prospects within the industrial automation sector. - Manage existing client accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. - Prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate products or services to potential customers. - Engage with clients to comprehend their automation requirements and suggest suitable PLC solutions. - Offer technical support throughout the sales process, aiding in product selection, system design, and issue resolution. - Collaborate with the engineering team to devise tailored solutions for intricate client needs. - Stay informed about the latest PLC technologies, products, and industry trends. - Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and internal teams. - Develop and execute sales strategies to meet sales targets. - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management. - Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to the management. - Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. - 2 to 10+ years of experience in sales or technical support of PLCs or industrial automation products. - Proven sales track record with a solid understanding of PLC systems, control systems, and automation processes. - Strong technical knowledge of PLCs and automation systems. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to establish and nurture strong customer relationships. - Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. - Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. - Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to PLC and control panels. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events. Possession of a valid driver's license. Working Conditions: Office-based role with frequent travel to client sites. Occasional visits to manufacturing or industrial environments may be necessary.
