Job Title: Sales and Business Development Manager – Digital Learning & Assessment Solutions Location: Mumbai / Delhi (with extensive travel across India) Experience: 5–8 years in Sales & Business Development, preferably in EdTech or Government Sector Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales and Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our digital learning and assessment solutions. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the education and skill development ecosystem and a keen interest in offering technology-led solutions to government customers. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth for digital learning products and assessment solutions. Government Engagement: Identify and prioritize government departments in the assigned territory for learning and assessment solutions. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government departments, understanding their needs and proposing bespoke solutions to address customer requirements. Sales Cycle Management: Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and customer relationship management. Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential ideas for expansion. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as product, delivery, marketing, partnerships, legal, and finance for strategic and operational requirements. Sales Collateral Development: Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials to effectively communicate the value proposition of the products and solutions. Performance Tracking: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activities, and market trends for strategic decision-making and to optimize sales efforts. Reporting: Provide regular updates, reports, and forecasts to senior management on sales progress, opportunities, and challenges. Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline. Professional Experience: 5–8 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the education sector. Industry Knowledge: Experience working with government departments and understanding the procurement processes is highly desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Preferred Skills Government Procurement: Familiarity with government procurement processes, including tendering and bidding. Solution Selling: Experience in solution-based selling, particularly in the education and technology sectors. Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior government officials and decision-makers.
