Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Engineer located in Abudhabi UAE. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to safety engineering, occupational health, security, training, and construction safety on a day-to-day basis. Qualifications 1. Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, complying with local and international safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. 2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Identify potential hazards and risks associated with construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate them. 3. Developing Safety Protocols: Create and implement safety procedures, plans, and training programs for employees. 4. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations, including those set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). 5. Inspection and Auditing: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure safety measures are being followed. 6. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and safety breaches to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences. 7. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in safety processes and implement new procedures or technologies. 8. HSE Training and Awareness: Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for employees. 9. Maintaining Records: Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and other relevant information. 10. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with management, employees, and external agencies on safety matters. 11. Make sure that client’s safety requirements are being full filled. 12. Liaise with safety manager and contractors for the improvement & implementation of corporate HSE management ethics. 13. Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures at site to full fill Legal and client requirements. 14. Review Site safety Plan, Emergency plan, and other safety related plans submitted by the contractor. Review Method Statement and risk analysis for all activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures. Carry out HSE inspections and report to resident engineer for immediate rectification. 15. At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any Construction related Engineering Degree or Occupational safety and healt hand internationally approved Safety courses. 16. Minimum 2+ years’ experience as Safety Engineer in infrastructure projects in UAE. 17. With recognized Health and Safety certifications, license or training in UAE (e.g. ISO, NEBOSH, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc). Indian experience is also consider. 18. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 19. Working knowledge of Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction safety Practice andTechnical Guidelines. Ref Code: H-N-31 / B-.
