Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) Specialist

building the customer journey foundation


Role Overview

behavioral signals, event data, user properties, and product triggers

You will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and growth teams to ensure lifecycle communication is tightly aligned with user behavior, product experience, and business goals.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Journey Strategy

  • Build complete lifecycle frameworks covering onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, churn prevention, and win-back.
  • Translate product usage and behavioral insights into automated journey logic.
  • Develop customer touchpoints across all relevant channels for consistent and personalized messaging.


Platform Execution & Automation

  • Lead CLM execution across 

    OneSignal, Braze

    , and other CRM tools.
  • Architect journeys using 

    Firebase events, custom triggers, user properties, and conditional logic.

  • Implement segmentation layers based on behavior, recency, frequency, app usage, funnel progression, and lifecycle stage.
  • Configure multi-step flows, branching logic, and cross-channel messaging rules.


Optimization & Analysis

  • Run structured A/B and multivariate tests to improve journey effectiveness.
  • Monitor lifecycle KPIs including CTR, conversion rates, retention curves, churn rate, and LTV uplift.
  • Identify performance gaps and iterate on timing, content, triggers, and segmentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with marketing, product, and data teams to align lifecycle messaging with feature rollouts, user behavior patterns, and growth priorities.
  • Partner with engineering/data teams to ensure correct event tracking and journey triggers are implemented in Firebase.


Requirements

Must Have

  • Minimum 

    3+ years

     in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing.
  • Strong operational experience with 

    OneSignal

     and 

    Braze

    .
  • Experience with one or more additional CLM platforms (CleverTap, MoEngage, WebEngage, Customer.io, Iterable, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of 

    Firebase event structures, user properties, and event-driven journeys

    .
  • Advanced segmentation, personalization, and user journey mapping skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret lifecycle metrics.
  • Comfort working in cross-functional teams and owning CLM systems end-to-end.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile apps, SaaS, or subscription products.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, attribution platforms, or SQL.
  • Experience designing retention strategies for high-growth environments.
