The EDC Retail team manages deployment, sales, and merchant enablement for PayNback’s digital business tools—including EDC/swipe devices, QR solutions, and merchant engagement platforms. The team focuses on driving merchant productivity through technology, simplicity, and real-time insights.
3. About the Role – Area Sales Manager (ASM).
The Area Sales Manager will lead the EDC/Swiping Machine sales network across assigned territories, build high-performing field teams, strengthen merchant relationships, and drive revenue growth through structured market execution.
4. Key Responsibilities.
#Team Leadership & People Management
1. Create a strong, motivating team culture with open communication.
2. Hire, train, and develop high-performing field sales teams.
3. Monitor team performance and publish daily/weekly metrics.
4. Set clear goals, delegate responsibilities, and drive execution.
5. Conduct coaching sessions and identify training needs.
6. Recognize performance, address issues, and manage conflict resolution.
7. Organize team-building and skill-development programs.

8. Drive sales of swiping (EDC) machines across assigned geographies.
9. Expand merchant acquisition and ensure consistent engagement.
10. Resolve merchant queries and manage escalations promptly.
11. Analyze market trends, competitor moves, and channel opportunities.
12. Strengthen merchant base and ensure optimal utilization of PayNback tools.
13. Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with operational standards.
5. Skills & Attributes Required.
1. Strong initiative, drive, and self-motivation.
2. Proven experience handling field sales teams.
3. Ability to grow, nurture, and leverage networks for new business.
4. Solid exposure to cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
6. Ability to motivate teams and manage multi-location field operations.
6. Educational Qualification.
* +2 / Graduate / Post-Graduate
* Preferred: Background in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development.
