Job Description

A Restaurant Utility plays a key support role in the Food & Beverage department, ensuring dining venues are clean, well-organized, and operate smoothly
Responsibilities include setting up and replenishing buffets, assisting with food and beverage service, clearing tables, and polishing silverware The role also involves maintaining cleanliness in guest, staff, and officer messes in accordance with company hygiene and public health standards Restaurant Utilities are expected to greet guests, provide basic beverage service using the POS system, and assist waiters as needed This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to learn onboard dining operations and grow within the cruise industry

Qualifications

Prior experience in food and beverage service, especially in high-volume or upscale settings, is preferred
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures is typically necessary
Must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a willingness to learn
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
