Position: Restaurant Manager

Brand:

Role Objective

To manage day-to-day restaurant operations of the Restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experience, strong team performance, adherence to brand standards, and achievement of revenue and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Oversee smooth end-to-end restaurant operations during all shifts.
  • Ensure high standards of service quality, food presentation, hygiene, and ambience as per SOPs.
  • Proactively handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery to ensure guest delight.
  • Maintain strong floor presence during peak hours.

People Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate FOH and BOH team members in coordination with HR.
  • Conduct regular briefings, performance reviews, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with grooming, discipline, and attendance norms.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.

Sales, Revenue & Cost Control

  • Drive sales through upselling, suggestive selling, local promotions, and guest engagement.
  • Achieve budgeted revenue, productivity, and cost targets (food cost, beverage cost, manpower).
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control.
  • Analyze daily/weekly MIS, P&L indicators, and take corrective actions.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, FSSAI norms, safety, and security standards.
  • Maintain audit readiness at all times (internal/external).
  • Ensure cash handling, billing accuracy, and loss prevention controls.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with central kitchen, procurement, marketing, and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports, manpower rosters, and operational updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • 6 years+ of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 23 years as Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager in a reputed casual/fine-dining brand.
  • Strong understanding of Pan-Asian cuisine service preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
