Job Description

Position Title:


Role Overview

end-to-end product quality assurance


Key Responsibilities


Product Quality Assurance

  • Conduct inline and final inspections of apparel (woven, knits, denim, ethnic, kidswear, etc.) to ensure adherence to brand specifications.
  • Validate garment parameters including

    fabric performance, shrinkage, colorfastness, seams, stitching, fit, trims, labeling, and finishing

    .
  • Audit packaging standards to ensure correct folding, tagging, barcoding, and presentation.
  • Partner with the central QA team to analyze quality test reports from labs and ensure corrective action with vendors.
  • Track and minimize

    defect rates (AQL, rejection %, return-to-vendor cases)

    at DC and store level.


Vendor & Supply Chain Compliance

  • Conduct

    vendor facility audits

    to ensure adherence to brand quality and compliance standards.
  • Verify that vendors follow approved technical packs, sealed samples, and size sets.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented for recurring vendor quality issues.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and merchandising to evaluate vendor capability and performance scorecards.


Customer Experience – Product Lens

  • Analyze

    customer returns, exchanges, and complaints

    to identify recurring product-related issues.
  • Partner with customer service and retail ops to investigate product issues (fit issues, color bleeding, damage, etc.).
  • Provide insights to Design, Buying, and Merchandising teams for future product improvements.


Data & Reporting

  • Maintain a regional dashboard of inspection results, defect rates, and vendor performance.
  • Report monthly quality trends, highlight systemic risks, and recommend solutions.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with

    AQL standards, lab testing protocols, and compliance requirements

    .
  • Eye for detail with the ability to identify subtle garment defects.
  • Excellent vendor management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in MS Excel/QA tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across vendors, DCs, and stores.
